An 82-year-old man died on Wednesday after he lost control of his mobility scooter and crashed. The man’s body was found in a ditch near his home in the Jerusalem neighborhood of Malcha.

A Magen David Adom crew that arrived at the scene performed CPR on the man, but were forced to declare him dead a short while later, after discovering that he had suffered a critical blow to the head. Police were investigating the scene of the accident for possible causes.

In Petah Tikva, a 50-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by a bus on the corner of Jabotinsky Street and Dayan Street. Magen David Adom crews rushed the man to the city’s Beilinson Hospital, but surgeons were unable to save his life.
