Rami Saban, the man police call the “biggest pimp in Israel,” received an 18-year prison sentence on Thursday for trafficking and soliciting women.

The Tel Aviv District Court convicted Saban of operating a global trafficking network of women based in Israel, soliciting them as prostitutes, and imprisoning and threatening others.

In addition to his prison sentence Saban must pay NIS 15,000 in damages to each of the 13 women who pressed charges against him, and a fine of NIS 150,000 to the state.

The court also sentenced Saban’s accomplices David and Yaakov Moriadi to 10 and six year sentences respectively, and Shmuel Malka to three years.
