The three men were injured when a gunman in a passing vehicle shot at them. They were evacuated to Nazareth Hospital, where one of the men died of his wounds.

Large numbers of police arrived in Yafia, outside the northern town of Nazareth, and began investigating the incident. Initial reports indicated that it was likely a conflict between local families.

The police had no leads concerning the perpetrators of the shooting.
