Also, a rock was thrown at Jerusalem’s light rail Wednesday evening near the Damascus Gate, cracking a window but not injuring any passengers.
A passenger who spoke to The Times of Israel reported a loud noise that “sounded like a gunshot” as the train was making its way towards the City Hall station. The shatterproof glass was cracked.

Police evacuated the vehicle and the passengers were transferred to an alternative train. No arrests have been made.
Last Thursday, a Palestinian man stabbed a soldier on the light rail in the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat Zeev. The soldier was hospitalized for moderate stabs wounds and her assailant was arrested shortly thereafter at the Qalandiya checkpoint.
The stabbing was the first attack of its kind on the light rail since it opened in August.
