Times of Israel readers around the world rushed to sign up for the Daily Edition newsletter in time to be in the running for our much coveted 16 GB iPad mini giveaway. Chosen randomly from our list of subscribers, ladies and gents, we have our winner…

Meet Erica Goldman-Brodie!

Erica is enjoying retired life with her husband, Rabbi Joe Brodie, in the charming community of Riverdale, New York. Born in England and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Erica came to the US as a teenager and later graduated from Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women.

Erica was a teacher for 37 years until 2004 when she was diagnosed with endometrial clear-cell cancer. With only a very little chance of surviving, Erica is defying the odds and is still in remission. The Brodies spend two months every year in Israel and they look forward to arriving in the holy land this May.

An “avid reader” of The Times of Israel, Erica tells us that she has saved every day’s Daily Edition since she subscribed in a special articles file. Well, Erica, now you can read The Times of Israel and the Daily Edition every day on your new iPad mini!

Mazel tov, Erica! Thank you for reading the Daily Edition and sharing your story with us. We, at the Times of Israel, hope you enjoy your new gadget in good health. Please come visit us in Jerusalem during your time here this summer.
