Boy, 10, dies after stabbed in head and neck
Mother says he tripped, fell on a pole while playing outside home in Bedouin village near Beersheba; police launch investigation

A 10-year-old-boy who was found Friday afternoon at an intersection outside Beersheba with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck later died from his wounds at the city’s Soroka Hospital.
Paramedics driving near the Shokat Junction found the boy, a resident of the nearby Bedouin village of Lakiya, and rushed him to the hospital in serious condition.
The boy’s mother told doctors that her son went outside to play and returned home and told her that he had fallen on a pole outside the house.
However, a hospital analysis concluded that the boy was stabbed a number of times in the head and neck.
Police launched an investigation, and were set to return to Lakiya to further question family members.
