15-year-old arrested for hitting relative with car

A 15-year-old boy from the southern Galilee village of Yafia was arrested Friday night on suspicion that he had run over a relative with a car.

The 34-year-old woman suffered severe head injuries and was rushed to Rambam Hospital in Haifa. Her doctors said she had received a harsh blow to the head and that they were battling to keep her alive.

The accident occurred in the woman’s yard and relatives said they were not sure what exactly had transpired.

The youth does not have a driver’s license. A police spokesman said he was cooperating with the investigation.
