The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court on Thursday indicted two officers for beating a teenage boy while he was in custody some two years ago.
According to the indictment, Beit Shemesh detectives Avihai Tishbi and Chen Mizrachi beat the 16-year-old boy after he was brought into the police station for making threats against police.
Tishbi and Mizrachi face charges of causing personal injury under aggravated circumstances.
The boy, who was detained after a verbal altercation between the detectives and a group of teenagers, sustained injuries to his head and upper body.
The assault, which was caught on the security camera of a local resident, shows the officers punching the boy repeatedly in the head and neck while he was handcuffed to a chair.
