Three Palestinian men were arrested by IDF soldiers late Saturday night after they crossed the border from the Gaza Strip into Israel.

It was not immediately clear what their motive was, and they were transferred to security forces for interrogation, Army Radio reported.

Earlier Saturday, emergency sirens sounded in southern Israel after a rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip.

The rocket apparently exploded in open areas in the Sha’ar Hanegev region, causing neither injury nor damage. The crash site was not immediately located.

According to the IDF’s official figures, 108 rockets have been fired at Israel from the Strip since the beginning of 2014.
