3 men found dead near nature reserve in apparent triple murder
Police investigating deaths near Tel Dan; bodies of victims, all said to be from towns in the north, show signs of violence, medics say
Three men have been found dead near a nature reserve in northern Israel in an apparent triple homicide.
The bodies of the men were discovered on a dirt road adjacent to the Tel Dan national park overnight Saturday-Sunday.
Medics who pronounced the men dead at the scene said there were signs of violence on their bodies, according to Hebrew media reports.
The Ynet news site said two of the bodies were found inside a jeep, while the third was found on the road.
The three were identified by the Kan public broadcaster as a 57-year-old from the northern village of Bi’ina, a 38-year-old from Sajur and a 41-year-old from Jadeidi-Makr.
Police set up roadblocks in the area and were searching for suspects.
An investigation was also opened into the incident, with Kan quoting police as saying that the motive was criminal, rather than terror-related.
