The lobby of an apartment building in an ultra-Orthodox Jewish neighborhood of Brooklyn was vandalized with anti-Semitic graffiti.

A resident of a six-story building in Borough Park reported the graffiti, which said “Fuck Jews,” to the New York Police Department’s 66th Precinct on Sunday, JPUpdates reported. The precinct is investigating with the department’s Hate Crime Task Force Unit.

The report noted the majority of the residents of the 60-apartment building are Orthodox Jews.

Last week, New York police arrested a man who allegedly sprayed anti-Semitic graffiti inside a residential building in the upstate New York ultra-Orthodox town of Kiryas Joel.

James Blazeski, 24, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and remanded to Orange County jail, where he is being held on $2,500 cash bail, the Times Herald-Record reported.

According to JP Updates, Blazeski is accused of writing “Death to Jews” on a hallway door and leaving a note on the floor that said “Dirty Jews,” inside the majority-Jewish apartment building.

His vandalism was classified as a hate crime.

Times of Israel staff contributed to this report.
