West Bank man held for Ashkelon murder

Police arrested a West Bank Palestinian in connection with an apparent murder in Ashkelon, Ynet reported on Monday.

The arrest came shortly after a 60-year-old man was found dead in an Ashkelon apartment with signs of violence on his body. A Magen David Adom ambulance was called to the apartment on Hashonit Street and declared the man dead at the scene.

Shortly afterwards police announced that they had arrested a 21-year-old man from the territories and the suspect was taken to Ashkelon police station for questioning. Police believe there were criminal motives to the incident, Ynet said.
