Army demolishes home of Hebron terrorist who murdered Israeli

Israeli security forces on Wednesday night demolished the Hebron home of Palestinian terrorist Ihab Maswada, who was responsible for the December murder of 40-year-old Genadi Kaufman.

The demolition was carried out by IDF troops, Border Police forces and representatives of the Civil Administration.

Kaufman was stabbed multiple times by Maswada near the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron on December 7, and was critically wounded. Maswada was shot dead by security forces at the scene.

Kaufman died of his wounds three weeks later.

He was a resident of the settlement of Kiryat Arba, adjacent to Hebron, and a father of two.

Hebron has been a flashpoint in the recent wave of Palestinian stabbing, shooting and vehicular attacks that has swept the country since October.

The Tomb of the Patriarchs, shared by Jews and Muslims who both revere it as the final resting place of the biblical patriarch Abraham and his kin, has been a particular source of tension in the city.
