Beit Shemesh police arrested a 15-year-old local boy early Friday for repeatedly reporting terror attacks that never took place.
Late Thursday, police received the boy’s latest prank call in which he said he had witnessed an attack in the city. Large numbers of officers began sweeping the area, but found nothing.
Investigators traced the call to the boy, who admitted in questioning to calling in many recent false reports of terror attacks and suspicious individuals.
He is scheduled to appear before the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court Friday morning, where police will ask for an extension to his remand.
