Body of 10-year-old boy found in olive grove near his home

The body of a 10-year-old boy was found in an olive grove near his home in the Israeli Arab town of Kafr Qasim in the early hours of Friday morning.

The child, Anass Sarsur, went missing Thursday evening, and his parents enlisted the help of friends in searching for him. These friends discovered the body, which showed signs of violence, less than a hundred feet from the family home.

While the cause of death has yet to be determined by autopsy, police investigators at the scene suspected murder. Authorities, however, were not ruling out the possibility that Sarsur was attacked by an animal or that he was run over by a vehicle.
