A 12-year-old boy was stabbed and moderately injured in Jaffa on Saturday evening, with police arresting his twin brother on suspicion of the assault during an alleged fight in their family home.
Paramedics called to the scene found the child semi-conscious and suffering from a stab wound, according to the Magen David Adom ambulance service.
Medics took the boy to Wolfson Medical Center in Holon in moderate and stable condition.
Police opened an investigation into the incident and arrested the twin brother as a suspect.
In a separate incident over the weekend of violence in the Arab community involving children, a 5-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man were lightly to moderately injured Friday evening by gunfire in the northern city of Umm al Fahm.

In a separate incident on Friday, a 12-year-old boy was badly injured by a hand grenade explosion in the Bedouin-majority town of Rahat in southern Israel. The circumstances of the blast were unclear.
First responders rushed the boy to a Beersheba hospital with stomach wounds and police opened an investigation.
Responsibly covering this tumultuous time
As The Times of Israel’s political correspondent, I spend my days in the Knesset trenches, speaking with politicians and advisers to understand their plans, goals and motivations.
I'm proud of our coverage of this government's plans to overhaul the judiciary, including the political and social discontent that underpins the proposed changes and the intense public backlash against the shakeup.
