A 16-year-old boy was found Saturday in a cemetery in southern Israel with stab wounds all over his body.
The boy’s uncle discovered him in the cemetery of the Bedouin town of Segev Shalom, or Shaqib al-Salam, which is in the Negev desert. The victim was evacuated to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba.
Segev Shalom is one of seven Bedouin townships in the Negev with approved plans and developed infrastructure. It was founded in 1979 as part of a government project to settle Bedouin in permanent communities.
