Israel Unlocked: Caesarea, From Herod’s Dream to Tourists’ Delight [TUESDAY]

Dear Times of Israel Community member,

Please join us this Tuesday, July 6, for a special installment of our Israel Unlocked virtual tour series, exclusive to the ToI Community.

This week, we will go up the Mediterranean coast to the city of Caesarea, one of the most visited sites in Israel.

Our expert guide Joel Haber will take us through the remarkable archaeological site where some of the most impressive remains in the country can be found. Our tour will uncover the key elements of a typical Roman-era city, examine the many cultures and famous people that lived there, and reveal the genius (and madness) of the ancient king most commonly associated with this seaside city.

About our guide: Joel Haber grew up in New Jersey, lived for many great years in Manhattan and Los Angeles, and made aliyah to Jerusalem in 2009. As a licensed tour guide, a few of his specialty areas are archaeology, religions and food.
