Join us in Jerusalem for ToI@10 Kickoff Event!

Dear Times of Israel Community member,

To mark The Times of Israel’s ten year anniversary, we are hosting a special series of live, in-person events this year under the banner ToI@10.

We’re excited to invite you to our kickoff event at Jerusalem’s First Station on May 24 – Who By Fire: Leonard Cohen and the Yom Kippur War. The evening will feature author Matti Friedman in conversation with ToI’s David Horovitz, discussing Friedman’s fascinating new book on the singer-priest’s extraordinary tour for IDF troops in 1973. The conversation will be accompanied by a live band playing classic Leonard Cohen tunes.

Leonard Cohen, center, performs with Israeli singer Matti Caspi, on guitar, for Israeli troops in the Sinai in 1973. Ariel Sharon is to the left of Cohen, with arms crossed (Yakovi Doron)

If you’re in Israel, we’d be thrilled if you can join us for this special, kickoff ToI@10 event! As a ToI Community member, you are entitled to half-priced tickets (limited to two per event). Get your tickets here — be sure to use the email address associated with your ToI Community account.

*** We understand that many of you are not in Israel and therefore can’t attend the event in person, so we will record it and share it with you on the ToI Community page shortly after the event ***

We hope to see you there, and thank you for being a part of our Community!
