TODAY: Surviving & Thriving in the Sinai [CORRECTED TIMES!]

Dear Times of Israel Community member,

Please join us today — Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at 1 pm EDT — for the next installment of our Israel Unlocked virtual tour series, exclusive to the ToI Community. This week, as we approach the Passover holiday, traditionally marking the Jews’ exodus from Egypt and journey toward Sinai, we’re going to the southern desert region around Mount Sinai.

We’ll visit the stunning St. Catherine’s monastery and Jabal Moussa, as well as other desert sites significant to the Israelites and other peoples who trekked through and lived there. Our tour guide, Josh Hartuv will delve into the lives of the ancients to help us understand how it was possible that people could enjoy great lives while in the harshest conditions. These sites and stories are difficult for many people to see in real life – this virtual experience is a unique opportunity to explore these places, and doesn’t require any mountain climbing!
