The US dollar rose to its highest exchange rate versus the Israeli shekel in over two years on Monday, while the euro took a plunge.
The dollar gained 0.8 percent to reach 4.017 shekels, a high that has not been seen since September 2012.
Meanwhile, the euro plummeted 1.4% to 4.369 shekels.
Last week, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics published a favorable report that showed there were some 295,000 new jobs filled in February and that unemployment had dropped by 5.5%.
According to Channel 2, the strong dollar is likely to remain stable and could drive up prices of flights between Israel and the US, as well as the cost of imported items.
On the other hand, the prices of flights to Europe are likely to go down as the euro continues its weak run.
