Dozens hurt in Druze-Muslim brawl in Galilee

At least 35 people injured, grenade detonated, during fight in village of Abu Snan

Dozens were injured Friday evening in a scuffle between Druze and Muslims in the Israeli Arab town of Abu Snan, in the Western Galilee.

At least nine people were moderately to seriously injured in the clashes, and another 26 received treatment for minor injuries, Haaretz reported.

Some of the injuries were from shrapnel wounds, after a grenade was apparently thrown into the fray.

Police dispersed the violent clashes, and officers were dispatched to the scene and will remain in the village until morning in order to maintain calm, Ynet reported.

The circumstances of the brawl were not immediately clear.
