Famous singer suspected of assaulting wife
Suspect, whose name has not yet been released by the court, placed under house arrest

The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court released to house arrest on Saturday night a well-known singer suspected of threatening and assaulting his wife.
The man’s name has not been cleared for publication by the court.
The singer was arrested Saturday morning after his wife filed a police complaint alleging that he habitually threatened her and in one recent incident grabbed her arm and struck her.
The suspect has denied the allegations.
He was released to three days’ house arrest while police gather evidence.
The court also issued a restraining order for the duration of the investigation, forcing the singer to serve out his house arrest at his mother’s house, according to Hebrew media reports.
