Father, 4-year-old daughter rescued after falling into 15-meter deep well
Pair saved after five-year-old son finds people to call for help; both moderately hurt and evacuated to local hospital for treatment

A man and his four-year-old daughter were rescued on Saturday after falling into a 15-meter deep well in northern Israel.
Both were freed from the water hole located between the towns of Hadera and Pardes Hanna by rescue services. They were taken in moderate condition to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera.
According to media reports, the pair were hiking in the area when suddenly the four-year-old climbed to the tip of the well and fell in. Apparently, the girl fell on a pile of jerrycans at the bottom of the hole, which softened her fall.
The father climbed in after her and began to descend on a metal ladder installed in the well. But the ladder was rusty and broke, causing the father to fall in as well, with no way out.

The man’s five-year-old son who was with them ran down the trail and began looking for help, when he came across several other hikers who called rescue services.
“Suddenly we saw a crying boy who stopped us and asked if we could save his father,” said eight-year-old Ivry, who was on the trail with his father and brother.
“Then he showed us where the well was and my dad called Magen David Adom.”
