Four-year-old girl dies after being locked in overheated car

A four-year-old girl from southern Israel died on Friday after she was locked in a sweltering car for several hours.
Paramedics from the Magen David Adom ambulance service tried to save the girl, a resident of the Bedouin village of Tel Sheva, but were ultimately forced to pronounce her dead.
Family members said the girl climbed into the car near the family’s home and accidentally locked herself in, the Ynet news site reported.
She was eventually found after family members set out looking for her.
Police have launched an investigation.
