Golden State could trade Casspi due to low 3-point performance

The NBA’s Golden State Warriors may be looking to ditch Israeli team member Omri Casspi due to unsatisfactory performance in 3-point shots, Yahoo Sports reported Saturday.
Casspi could be traded as the team seeks to bolster its bench’s shooting stats beyond the arc.
The Israeli player had a strong start to the season, and Yahoo notes that he has been a strong offensive player. However, his middling performance on three-pointers could prove detrimental to his future at the team.
Israel’s Hadashot news also noted that Casspi’s performance has suffered lately due to several injuries.
The NBA trade deadline is February 8.
Yavne-native Casspi, who in 2009 became the first Israeli ever to make it to the top US basketball league, debuted with the Warriors in October. It is the sixth NBA team he has played for.
