Gunfire from Syria damages IDF vehicle
No injuries reported; Israel fired back, lodges complaint with UNDOF over incident on Golan Heights

Small arms fire from Syria damaged an IDF vehicle on patrol in the central Golan Heights early Tuesday morning. No injuries were reported.
The IDF Spokesperson said that Israeli troops fired a long-range Tamuz rocket at the source of the attack and reported a direct hit. There was no indication of injuries on the Syrian side.
It was the third day in a row in which shots were fired at the same location and at rougly the same time.
The IDF further stated that it regards the recent incidents along the northern border with Syria with concern, and lodged a complaint with UNDOF, the peacekeeping force monitoring the ceasefire line between Israel and Syria.
There were no immediate reports from Syrian opposition organizations of clashes in the immediate vicinity of the Israel-Syria border.
In the past three months there have been 12 cross-border shootings towards the Golan Heights.
