Here’s our regular roundup of homes recently bought and sold to keep you in touch with the realities of Israel’s housing market. The information in this article was gathered through the Israel Tax Authority’s real estate research database, which shows the final prices paid for properties.
Housing prices have risen by 15.4% over the last year, but new property is attracting a premium and is estimated to be up around 22%, according to the Central Bureau of Statistics.
1. In Tel Aviv close to Ramat Aviv Gimel, on Uri Tzvi Greenberg Street, a three-room apartment was sold at the end of May for NIS 4,100,000 ($1,236,429). It was built in 2004 and measures 87 square meters, on the sixth of 11 floors in a building of 42 apartments. The building has an elevator and the apartment comes with two reserved parking spaces.
2. In Ashkelon, on Megiddo Street in the center of the city, an apartment of 90 square meters was sold for NIS 1,550,000 ($449,666). The sale was completed in early June and the apartment, which has four rooms, was built in 2004. It is on the second of a 14-floor building of 52 apartments and comes one reserved parking space.
3. In Petah Tikva, on Trumpeldor Street, a four-room apartment close to the city’s art museum sold for NIS 2,360,000 ($707,010) at the beginning of June. The apartment measures 91 square meters on the sixth of 10 floors in a building that was built in 2021. The apartment has no reserved parking and is one of 54 units in the building.
4. In Kiryat Malachi, on Hahermon Street, a four-room apartment was sold at the beginning of June for NIS 1,690,000 ($508,271). It measures 118 square meters in size and was built in 2019. The apartment is on the sixth of 13 floors, with 49 other apartments in the building with an elevator. It has one reserved parking space.
5. In the West Bank settlement of Efrat, on Zeit Shemen Street, a three-room apartment on the fourth floor of seven sold in June for NIS 1,850,000 ($535,610). The apartment measures 77 square meters and is in a building that dates from 2014. It is on the fourth floor of seven, with 11 other apartments in the building, and has one reserved parking space.
6. In the center of Bnei Brak on Pinkas Epstein Street, the sale of a five-room apartment was completed at the beginning of June for NIS 2,690,000 ($805,389). The building dates from 1950 and the apartment measures 116 square meters. It is on the third floor of three in a building of just 26 apartments. There is no reserved parking.
7. In June, a four-room ground-floor apartment was sold on the outskirts of Kiryat Shmona on Haveradim Street for NIS 1,150,000 ($340,741). The apartment measures 105 square meters and was built in 1999. It has a yard measuring a further 71 square meters, but no reserved parking. The building has four floors containing a total of 22 apartments.
8. In Acre (Akko) on Yosef Trumpeldor Street close to the old city, an apartment measuring 120 square meters sold in June for NIS 1,676,000 ($501,946). It has five rooms and the building was completed in 2021. The apartment is on the fifth of nine floors, one of 35 apartments in the building with an elevator but no reserved parking.
9. In Yeruham, on Hasahar Street, a four-room apartment on the second floor of three was sold at the beginning of June for NIS 820,000 ($245,509). It measures 102 square meters and was built in 2014. The building contains six apartments in total, and the apartment comes with a reserved parking space.
