The Israeli Air Force struck an underground rocket launcher in the northern Gaza Strip on Friday night, based on military estimates that an attack on Israel was imminent.
There were no reports of Palestinian injuries, and Palestinian media sources made no mention of the airstrike near Beit Hanoun, which came after several days of relative calm on the border.
Earlier Friday, Hamas reported that a Palestinian was injured in his leg by IDF fire along the border fence, near Jabaliya.
Dozens of Palestinian protested at the fence east of Khan Younis, as well, in what has become a weekly event on Fridays, in which groups of Palestinians approach the buffer zone ahead of the border and begin throwing stones at Israeli forces and tampering with the fence.
Last Friday, 13 Palestinians were wounded by Israeli fire after about 100 demonstrators participated in such an incident.
