A Palestinian lobbed a Molotov cocktail Friday at Beit Hadassah, a building that is home to Jewish settlers, in Hebron.
An IDF unit shot at the Palestinian, injuring him lightly in the leg, according to Israel Radio. There were no reports of injuries at Beit Hadassah.
At the border fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip, east of Gaza City, the IDF used live fire to break up a protest by a group of men identifying themselves as the Intifada Youth, believed to be closely linked to Hamas. The army said the group had attempted to sabotage the border fence, and that the shots were fired after other crowd dispersion methods failed.
Palestinian sources said three people were injured as a result.
In scattered protests throughout the West Bank on Friday, several Palestinians were treated for tear gas inhalation.
