IDF fires warning shot at shepherd on Lebanese border
Man strays into disputed Mount Dov region; soldiers shoot into the air to keep him at bay

IDF soldiers in the troubled Mount Dov region that lies on the border with Lebanon fired warning shots at a shepherd who crossed into the country on Monday.
Soldiers shot into the air and the man led his flock of sheep back into the Lebanese side of the frontier, which is not fenced in that area.
Earlier this month Hezbollah took responsibility for a bomb attack on Mount Dov that injured two Israeli soldiers.
Claims to the Mount Dov area, known by the Lebanese as the Shebaa Farms, have been made by Israel, Lebanon, and Syria in the past, although the land, covering roughly 20 square kilometers, now lies within Israel’s northern territory.
