Two Palestinians arrested on suspicion of plotting to carry out terror attack following search near Hebron

Israel Defense Forces soldiers arrested two Palestinians overnight Saturday, after several IDF uniforms and weapons caches were discovered in their possession during a routine search patrol in the West Bank village of Beit Ummar, near Hebron.

Soldiers located several masks, knives, and a handgun at the site, Channel 10 news reported.

The two Palestinians were suspected of plotting to carry out a terrorist attack against Israeli targets, according to Channel 10. They were transferred to a Shin Bet security facility for questioning.

Also overnight Saturday, several guns and cartridges were seized by the Hebron District Police in the Palestinian village of Yatta following a search in the area. One man was arrested and taken to a nearby security facility for questioning.
