Israeli convicted of smuggling weapon-making items into Hebron
Building supplies importer from northern town of Deir al-Assad lied to Tax Authority about shipments, court finds

The Ashdod Magistrate’s Court on Sunday convicted an importer of building and sanitary equipment of attempting to smuggle materials and appliances that can be used to produce weapons into the West Bank city of Hebron.
According to the indictment, the man, from the northern Israeli town of Deir el-Assad, reported false destinations for his shipments to the Tax Authority, and instead sent the materials to a Palestinian company in Hebron.
The materials included metal-cutting machines, engraving machines, rubber and plastic foam, and a milling, mixing and blending machine, the Walla news site reported.
