IDF takes fire during separate operation in Jenin
Israel’s Border Police arrested nine Palestinians suspected of terror activities near Jerusalem Wednesday.
Border Police said they seized 150 bullets and incitement material from the suspects’ homes in the Palestinian towns of Abu Dis and Al-Eizariya.
The towns are cut off from the northeast of the capital by the security barrier.
Police said the investigation is ongoing and as of yet, authorities have yet to connect the suspects to any known terrorist organizations.
Earlier in the day, IDF troops exchanged fire with Palestinians in Jenin during an operation to arrest suspects.
IDF troops were attacked with IEDs, grenades and live fire, according to an army statement. The soldiers “responded with live fire and riot dispersal means.”
The IDF reported no injuries to its forces.
Soldiers nabbed seven suspects plus an additional Palestinian accused of stone throwing, and forces seized “a firearm, explosive device and ammunition.”
