An Israeli tourist died in Barcelona on Monday after being robbed during a family vacation.

The Israeli man was driving with his wife, when the driver of another vehicle signaled to him that he had a flat tire and to pull over.

However, the driver of the other vehicle was in fact a robber, who tried to make off with the wife’s bag.

After attempting to chase down the robbers, the Israeli man collapsed and died from heart failure.

The Foreign Ministry said it was aware of the incident and that the Israeli embassy in Madrid was in touch the deceased’s family, including regarding bringing his body to Israel for burial, according to the Walla news site.

The name of the Israeli man was not immediately cleared for release.
