Israel’s now-annual Gindi TLV Fashion Week is set to take place after the Jewish holiday season, from October 18 to 21.

The list of designers showing collections is up to 36, including a solid collection of long-time Israeli designers as well as newcomers to the Israeli fashion scene.

The veteran designers include father-and-daughter team Gideon and Karen Oberson, Dorin Frankfurt, Shai Shalom, Hagar Alambik for Alembika, Tovaleh, Dorit Bar Or, Sharon Tal for Maskit, Betty Eldad from Bet-ka, and Rima Romano, and, from the pack of newer designers, Rachel Cohen from Common Raven, Yael and Tamar Levy of Muslin Brothers, Nir and Rotem Guetta of Hanna, and several others.

Israel doesn’t have a couture fashion industry, and designers tend to show casual, ready-to-wear clothing with a small selection of gowns and few menswear collections.

Motti Reif, the producer of the show, told Ynet that there will be foreign buyers present at the four-day show. Most Israeli designers sell their collections in Israel, with only a few succeeding with exports abroad.
