‘Jerusalem lynch’ perpetrators handed jail terms
Three Jewish youths attacked Arabs in the capital in 2012, critically injuring one

The Jerusalem District Court on Monday sent three Jewish youths to jail for their part in a mob attack on several Arab men in downtown Jerusalem that left Jamal Julani, 17, in critical condition.
The court sentenced one of the teenage defendants to eight months behind bars, another to three months, and a third to one month in prison for the attack in August 2012.
During the incident, a group of Jewish teenagers attacked Arab youths in the capital’s Zion Square, injuring Julani and three others while dozens of bystanders watched the events unfold without intervening.
Julani, a resident of East Jerusalem, nearly died in the attack, according to Jerusalem Police, who called the incident a “lynch” and an “extremely severe crime.”
