Here come the Sex Pistols, notorious purveyors of “Anarchy in the UK,” of course. But in deference to Her Maj., Boyle airs a clip of their royally inoffensive “Pretty Vacant.”

The BBC reports that there are 79,000 light panels in the crowd, connected by 320km of cabling, to create the stadium’s flashing light effects.
