Report: Israeli sources say Nasrallah’s presumed successor Safieddine killed in airstrike
Unnamed Israeli sources tell Sky News Arabia that the presumed successor to Hezbollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah was killed in a heavy airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs overnight Thursday-Friday.
The IDF said yesterday morning that the airstrike in Beirut targeted Hezbollah’s intelligence headquarters. The military did not disclose who was at the underground bunker.
Lebanese security sources told Reuters earlier today that Hashem Safieddine, widely expected to succeed Nasrallah, has been “unreachable” since the strike targeting an underground bunker in the Lebanese capital.
