Man accused of raping two young daughters for years
Jerusalem father of 11 indicted for sexually abusing his two girls since they were 7 and 11 years old
A Jerusalem man was indicted Thursday over allegations that he had routinely raped his two daughters for over a decade, since they were 7 and 11 years old, police said Thursday.
Police said the man, a 50-year-old ultra-Orthodox father of 11 children, was arrested two weeks ago.
He is suspected of repeatedly assaulting and raping one daughter between age 7 and 17, until she left the family home. Upon her departure, the man is alleged to have begun to prey on a second daughter, who was 11 at the time, and sexually assault her for a number of years.
When the older sister discovered that her sibling was being subjected to the same torment that she herself had suffered, she revealed the allegations to family members.
The two daughters, now aged 23 and 15, have given testimony to police, who are also checking whether the father abused any other daughters, though they said there was currently no evidence to that.
