Man found dead near car destroyed in blast in Beersheba parking lot
Deceased thought to have been killed while working with or transporting explosives

A man was found dead early Tuesday morning next to a burnt-out car in an underground parking lot in the southern city of Beersheba.
Police sappers determined the car was destroyed in a blast, likely as the result of explosives, according to Ynet.
The news site reported that police suspect the man was killed while working with or transporting explosive material.
Police opened an investigation into the incident upon arriving at the parking structure, after receiving a report of a car on fire. Officers came to the scene alongside firefighters and forensics specialists, said a spokesperson.
Firefighters extinguished the blaze and stopped the flames from spreading to nearby vehicles and buildings, Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told The Times of Israel.
The investigation into the man’s death is ongoing as police work to determine his identity.
Paramedics said they received a report of the dead man at around 3:40 a.m. They found the deceased without vital signs alongside the vehicle.
