Man killed in Holon in suspected gangland shooting

One man was killed and two others were severely wounded Saturday night when shooters opened fire on them outside a Holon banquet hall.

When Magen David Adom rescue services arrived at the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds to the chest. They evacuated them to hospital but one of them died en route.

A third casualty was found outside the banquet hall soon afterwards. He had sustained wounds to the limbs, MDA said.

The shooters apparently lay in ambush outside the banquet hall, waiting for their targets to emerge. They fled after the shooting.

Police believe the motive for the attack is a gang war in nearby Lod, Ynet reported.
