Man shot dead in his car in southern town

A 30-year-old man was killed Tuesday evening in a shooting in a community in the Be’er Tuvia region of southern Israel.

Magen David Adom paramedics arrived at the scene in Moshav Givati and tried to resuscitate the victim — who suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the chest — but pronounced him dead.

The victim was sitting in the driver’s seat and the rear windshield was shattered by gunshots.

Police were investigating the incident, which authorities suspected was an assassination. The shooter was known to authorities, according to Ynet.
