Man shot dead in Netanya street
Second man, 19, in moderate condition
One man was killed overnight Saturday and another was moderately injured after they were attacked by a gunman as they sat waiting in their car in the coastal city of Netanya.
The fatality, 32, died of gunshot wounds to his upper body.
The second man, 19, also suffered wounds to his upper body and was taken to Meir Hospital in nearby Kfar Saba for treatment.
Shortly after midnight, Magan Dovid Adom paramedics received report of the shooting, on Gad Manela Street in the industrial area of Natanaya.
Magen Dovid Adom paramedics tried to resuscitate the older victim but eventually pronounced him dead at the scene.
Police didn’t initially cite a suspected motive in the shooting, although Netanya has been the stage of a turf war between rival gangs in recent years.
