Two people were taken to a hospital after suffering very light injuries and shock respectively.

A police spokesperson said the man was shot in the legs after a short chase down the street, which runs along the city’s light rail and is near the national police headquarters.

His condition was not immediately clear. A video from the scene showed him writhing on the ground, with his jeans covered in blood.

Magen David Adom paramedics evacuated two people to the nearby Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus. A 15-year-old was treated for light injuries to her leg and a 29-year-old man was treated for shock.

It was not immediately clear how the girl was injured.
