Naomi Campbell parties in the desert with Idan Raichel and belly dancers
A soiree near Eilat for the supermodel's 42nd birthday
It sounds like supermodel Naomi Campbell had a fabulous party for her 42nd birthday. According to entertainment host Guy Pines, it was held in the middle of the desert at Timna Park, the national park near Eilat known for its colored stone formations and copper mines.
The birthday group, which comprised Campbell, her Russian billionaire boyfriend Vladislav Doronin and 10 close friends, toured the area, including Solomon’s Pillars, the best-known stone formations in the park, before sitting down to dinner.
The seven-course meal was prepared by two Eilat chefs, and included ceviche, kebabs and fish served on a bed of couscous, followed by a dessert of kadaif, ice cream and macaroons.
For entertainment, there were belly dancers, at the request of Doronin, followed by a private concert by singer Idan Raichel, who was helicoptered in for the event.
The secret party cost NIS 700,000, said Pines, “pocket change” for Doronin, who’s known as the Donald Trump of Russia and got his start working for commodities trader Marc Rich.
Earlier in her visit, Campbell visited the Western Wall and Bethlehem.
