A senior official in Israel’s national lottery company was arrested on suspicion of trying to poison a coworker, police revealed Sunday.

Security cameras reportedly captured the woman arriving late at night at the company building, making her way to the colleague’s office and pouring a poisonous substance — believed to be mercury — on the door handle. According to police, the woman then entered the office and poured the substance elsewhere, Channel 2 reported.

The woman and her partner, who is suspected of aiding her, were taken into police custody and will be brought before a judge Monday for a remand extension.

Police opened an investigation into the incident, but were not yet aware of a motive behind the act.
