Live action series 'DreaMars' from HOT network takes 8 youngsters on troubled space mission

“DreaMars,” a live action series about eight teens who fly to Mars to prepare for settlement on the Red Planet, will air next year in Israel and Germany.

The co-production, from Israeli network HOT’s kids channel Zoom and Germany’s KiKA, is being filmed in D-MARS (Desert Mars Analog Ramon Station), the space simulation center in Israel that replicates settlements on Mars near the town of Mitzpe Ramon, in the rugged Ramon crater.

The 20-part series takes place in 2045, as the group journeys to Mars but lands in the wrong location. The team is cut off from communication with Earth, with only a few hours before their life support power runs out.

The creators of “DreaMars” are Sivan Shiknaji, Haim Avihail, Miki Yosef and Shuli Sheindel with director Rani Saar.
