Netanya man killed in suspected underworld hit

A man was shot dead in the street on Monday night in the coastal city of Netanya in what police are investigating as a possible organized crime assassination.

The man, 30, was critically wounded by gunfire from a passing motorcyclist on Degania Street. He was pronounced dead at the city’s Laniado Hospital a short time later.

While the victim’s identity has not been released, police have reportedly indicated he had a criminal record and was believed to be involved in a criminal organization.
