Palestinian Authority security sources confirmed that two Palestinian policemen were injured Saturday while making an arrest in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Security camera footage obtained by Israel’s Channel 2 News showed the unprofessional and somewhat embarrassing attempt to arrest a suspect eating at a restaurant in the Balata Refugee Camp.

At first, the officers throw a stun grenade into the restaurant, where the suspect is eating, and, presumably because of the resulting noise, proceed to rush back out of the building.

Though the suspect is unarmed, the police appear to use live ammunition to fire at him from outside the building, lightly wounding the suspect and two bystanders.

The officers return to the restaurant with guns drawn and begin to chase the suspect, who is attempting to escape through the back door.

One officer slips and falls near the counter.

The Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported the suspect managed to escape, and another man who was arrested at the scene was cut loose after it turned out he had nothing to do with the suspicions.
